While I think Rameses II inspired the poem, I don’t think it’s meant to be a 1:1 comparison. I think Ozymandias is a representation of every pharaoh or king pf the earth. They think themselves so grand and magnificent, but all their accomplishments will eventually fade to footnotes, and their monuments to ruins. It’s a commentary on how time makes fools of the proud, not a targeted criticism of Rameses in particular.
Between this and the elf girl manga where she’s trying to hook up with her pet kitten, it’s going to get more weird if more series like that get adapted

I mean, I’m always a bit miffed when the fashionable characters talk modern slang my talking style is based on classic 90s Cali valley speak, but like, that’s old now so I move on. Ain’t worth gettin yourself wound up, especially since most of the “localization bad” dweebs have been pirating things from day one, like they ain’t the audience, it’s regular people with normal priorities who can’t figure out how to torent anime without giving themselves ransomware

If it didn’t rip off Pochita’s name from CSM and just went with Poochie or Pochi, I’d be fine with forgetting about it’s existence but no, the mangaka’s gotta use the name that fuses Makita (Chainsaw) with Pochi instead.
