Summary

Scarlet Nexus, stylized as SCARLET NEXUS, is a Japanese action role-playing-game developed by Bandai Namco and Tose, and published by Bandai.Story

In a far distant future, a psionic hormone was discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changing the world as we know it.

Just as humanity was entering this new era, deranged mutants known as Others began to descend from the sky with a thirst for human brains. Highly resistant to conventional attack methods, extreme measures needed to be taken to battle the overwhelming threat and preserve humanity.

Those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psionics, were our chance to fight the onslaught from above. To this day, psionics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force (OSF), humanity’s last line of defense.

There are two protagonists and 2 story lines that run paralell to each other and merge in the end game. Yuito’s story is the recomended first choice and Kasane is recomended for a second play through.

Yuito Sumeragi

Katana & Gavikenisis:

SAS & Gravikenisis:

If unit is within 2 Spaces of their support partner or another unit with an SAS effect grants this unit use of that ally’s A Skill and B Skill during combat as if those skill’s effects except an SAS effect were part of this skill’s effect. (Example: Support partner has Swift Sparrow 3 and Lull Atk/Def. This unit gains Atk +6, Spd +7, inflicts Atk/Def -3 on foe and neutralizes foes bonus to those stats during combat.) After combat if foe survived pushes foe 2 spaces away and inflicts Gravity on them.

Kasane Randall

Knives & Gravikenisis:

Grants Spd +3.
During combat if unit is not adjacent to an ally grants Atk/Spd +7.
Unit can counter attack regardless of foe’s range.
If unit is on a map with structures that can be broken unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack and neutralizes effects that prevent units follow-up attacks.

Grants unit Atk/Def +7 (buff) for 1 turn. Unit makes a guarnteed follow-up attack.

C.Saw & Hypervelocity:

Grants Def +3.
Unit attacks twice, even if foe initiates combat.
Neutralizes effects that prevent unit’s follow-up attacks.

Treats foe’s Def/Res as if is was reduced by 30% and deals damage equal to 30% of unit’s Atk.

SAS & Hypervelocity:

Unit can move to an avaiable space adjacent to a foe within 3 space of unit once per turn. Grants adjacent units the effect “Unit can move to a space adjacent to an ally with 2 spaces” for one turn.

Yo the show any good, or typical trope stuff?

Not sure about the anime only watched the 1st episode, but the game itself was fairly decent, I still need to go finish the second playthrough

Honestly, not the same ones that are done to death. Something with a halfway decent story. The paring looked okay but can’t judge a show by its cover

I have only watched 2 episodes of the show, but have played the game and I can say the game is great far better than the 2 episodes I saw.
