Is this Alfonse build good?

As I’ve mentioned before, I really like Alfonse. Both as a character and a unit. I liked Alfonse before Book 3 made him Cool, even. Now, I’ve been thinking of builds for him, and I think I may have found something that works.

Thoughts? I tried to balance his bulk, while keeping his superior Attack. Special Spiral with Glimmer will fire it off every combat, allowing him to really kill. I’ve got the fodder, as I don’t have anyone else that could use Special Spiral, and I’ve got 2 -Spd Lewyns. Any help is appreciated!

Yeah kinda. Although without a double I question some arena kills

If I’m not wrong upgraded Folkvangr’s effect is a Brazen Atk/Def right?
I mean, since ur already running another Brazen Atk/Def and Brazen Atk/Res, why not run Draconic Aura? It makes him hit a lot harder on his specials not gonna lie.
Also, I think QR might b btr so u can get some doubles off. Unless ur making him a one shot melee specialist with Draconic Aura then ye fine.
Other than that I think its pretty good. Altho, Ardent Sacrifice might be pretty good replacement for Reciprocal Aid if ur gg with an assist skill that triggers his brazen.
Now then, he might b a good unit to test Nino’s strength! XD just saying

Well, with All his Brazens, he reaches 76 Atk +6 from Even Atk Wave. Combine that with a Glimmer every round, and I’m imagining him killing most things. He counters Surtr like a boss, that’s for sure.

I usually prefer Wrath for him. The flat +10 is always welcome for B I G N U M E R A L S.

In arena most things might live because dragons and armor. That’s why I typically take a survivability route.

You literally replaced Bonfire with Draconic Aura and thought I wouldn’t notice? Whaddya take me for? He’ll definitely hit hard, but they’ll still need a turn to charge. That’s why I didn’t put it. And I doubt he can test Nino’s strength. He’s just an Alfonse after all. He can kill her, but I think it’s a matter of who initiates.

I thought of that, but I don’t have Wrath fodder at the moment. It’s definitely a viable strategy.

He still reaches like 50/37 Def/Res, so I think he’s good there. Especially if it’s a bonus season. They become 54/41 plus him having like 65 HP!

I didn’t take it the wrong way. It’s just funny how you swapped Bonfire for Draconic Aura. Thanks for the advice!

55 attack is enough dude

55 Atk and Triple Brazen should suffice for Attack. I wanted to focus on his tankiness.

Switch to Brazen Atk/Spd so he can prevent getting doubled.

He does look good.
But wouldn’t the brazen refine help more?
Does it also add a gem effect or something?

I think you should check the effect of his weapon… It grants Brazen Atk/Def by default. The added effect is Triangle Adept, which I’m trying to avoid.
